About Me
- Tracy Butler
- Late 2008 I decided I was going to undertake one of the hardest, single day endurance events ever created.... The Ironman. Thanks to my new friend and swim coach Hap Gentry, I learned to swim(I couldn't swim down and back in a 25 yard pool when I started), spent over 350 hours on the bike, and have ran over 1500 miles since beginning to run. I have burned over 620,000 calories so far and have a long way to go. I am married to my lovely wife (and triathlete) Rene and have two wonderful children (who believe it or not completed their first kids tri last year).... I am President and Co-Founder of Acropolis Technology Group in Clayton, MO. I am currently coached by Jennifer Meyer at Tri-Smart Training Systems and my swim coach is Hap Gentry. I also belong to several Tri Clubs and Acropolis sponsors both the St. Louis Tri Club and the Metro East Tri Club. In my opinion, the best way to live life is set an impossible goal and work towards it. Even if you don't make it, you will be so much better for trying than you would be if you didn't. Here is my story.....
